The Integrated Child Centre is a place where all (babies, toddlers, preschoolers and) children aged between 0 and 13 are harmonized with in a continuing development. The staff’s activities are based on a vision and a plan enabling children to safely grow up and develop in the best possible way. The 1st Amstelveen Montessori School and KinderRijk’s after-school care have worked together as a Multifunctional School since 2007. In 2016 we made the next step en evolved into the Integraged Child Centre.
Instead of separate facilities, close cooperation has been put in place. This, of course, doesn’t work without an identity of its own and so we opted for a joint name: Mio Mondo.
An Italian name based on the educational founders Montessori and Malaguzzi. It literally means: “My World”. The child’s world. A world for kids, safe and protective, spacious and inspiring, with endless possibilities for the development of their talents.
MKC Mio Mondo provides day care for 0 to 4 year olds and toddler care for 2 to 4 year olds, education and after-school care for 4 to 12 year olds. Once you’re three months pregnant, you may sign up your baby. When your baby is eight weeks old, he or she will be welcome at MKC Mio Mondo.
